Sentinel for EOD

Positioned at a “side-angle” to your robot operations, the Sentinel RSD system uses a digital signal to deliver high-quality, full-motion video to the EOD command center.

A new way to view robot operations.

Positioned at a “side-angle” to your robot operations, the Sentinel RSD system uses a digital signal to deliver high-quality, full-motion video to the EOD command center.

More than just a surveillance system...it's also a digital repeater!

In addition to its role as a video surveillance unit, the Sentinel is also a digital radio repeater. Functioning as a relay between the command unit and the robot, users can get up to two miles combined line of sight (LOS) range. See more about this exclusive function in our repeater section.

Tireless.
Unlike human observers, a Sentinal RSD can sit still for hours in all weather without fatigue, keeping a tireless eye on the target. Sentinel’s military-grade lithium ion batteries offer about eight hours of operation.

Wireless.
Sentinel operates using Megalith Digital Radio technology, the top-rated digital radio control system developed by Lithos Robotics. Sentinel has the same one-mile line of sight (LOS) operating range as other Megalith components and video feeds and controls can be toggled on and off from the robot control panel, laptop or iPad/iPod.

Ready.
It takes only a few seconds to activate the Sentinel. Just flip the on/off switch, wait for the control panel to acknowledge the Sentinel’s presence, and video will come streaming in. Weighing in at only 25 pounds, the unit can be carried downrange by a robot or a tech in a bomb suit--or, if not going into a danger zone, by an officer in the uniform-of-the-day. It could even be driven in on the roof of a patrol car or other vehicle. Once in place, the PTZ camera can begin gathering intel on the scene.

Read a Sentinel training report
from an EOD team

The Erie County (NY) Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad undertook its first Sentinel RSD/EOD training operation in late July 2011. The verdict: thumbs up! Read more here...
